My training started in 2006 with Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationship and I continued my professional development with Relate Institute (MA in Relationship Therapy, PGDip in Psychosexual Therapy).I am also trained as a clinical supervisor with The Grove Practice. Clinical supervision is offered to trainees and experienced counsellors in Relate National, NHS and private practice
I work integratively, which means that I have training in various counselling approaches (systemic, psychodynamic, CBT) and I apply my knowledge and experience to tailor a unique intervention with each client to meet their specific needs. By combining elements drawn from different schools of psychological theory and research, integrative therapy becomes a more flexible and inclusive approach to treatment than more traditional, singular forms of psychotherapy.
All interactions which take place in the setting of therapy are considered confidential. This includes requests by telephone, all interactions with me, any scheduling or appointment notes, all session content records and any progress notes that I take during your sessions. I will not even verify that you are a client. You may choose to give me permission in writing to release any or specific information about you to any person or agency that you designate. However, I am obligated to report if there is a reason to believe that you or another person is at risk of harm.
